Dominican University has a long history of existence and can be tied to the Dominicans of the Catholic faith, who have been existing since the 12th century and made a presence in Nigeria in 1951 in Lagos.

UTME Admission
° Obtain at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
° Score an acceptable mark in the UTME in relevant subjects.
Direct Entry Admission (200 Level)
° Candidates applying for direct entry admission must also possess five (5) credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings and must meet one of the following requirements:
° Candidate must possess a General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level pass in at least two approved subjects.
° Candidate Must Have a credit pass in Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or a merit pass in National Certificate in Education (NCE) from a recognized institution.
° Candidate must possess a first degree or higher national diploma (HND) from an approved university or polytechnic.
° All applicants are required to participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise.
° Candidates must also satisfy the specific departmental requirements for their chosen course of study.
