Federal Polytechnic Ede is a federally owned polytechnic that is located in Ede, Osun State. Federal Polytechnic Ede is commonly known as Ede Poly among students
Federal Polytechnic Ede was established in the year 1992 based on the decree of 1979, which was later amended in 1993. The Polytechnic was established by the federal government of Nigeria to provide full-time or part-time courses of instruction and training with various attached to this main objective.
The Federal Polytechnic, as of the time of establishment, took over the site of the former Old Baptist College, which at that time also served as the camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) before it was handed over to the polytechnic as a result of cooperation between the Ede local government and the Osun State government.
The tenure of the polytechnic initially commenced in 1993, one year after the establishment of the polytechnic, upon the arrival of the first rector of the polytechnic, Chief Jimi Bamgbose, who at that time resided in the United States of America.

Admission Requirement
National Diploma (ND) Full-Time
• Candidates must meet the minimum UTME score required by the polytechnic and choose Federal Polytechnic, Ede, as your first-choice institution.
° Candidates who did not initially choose the Polytechnic can apply through JAMB Change of Institution.
• Obtain at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three other relevant subjects.
• Upload your O-Level result on the JAMB CAPS portal for admission processing.
Higher National Diploma (HND)
• Candidate Must Possess a minimum of a lower credit in a relevant National Diploma (ND) program from a recognized institution.
• Candidate must complete the mandatory one-year Industrial Training (IT).
° Candidates with a pass in ND are required to present two years of post-ND industrial training experience.
• Candidates must obtain at least five (5) O-Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
• Participate in the Polytechnic’s screening exercise and upload your ND certificate and Industrial Training (IT) letter.
ND Part-Time / Daily Part-Time (DPT)
• UTME is not required for admission.
