Rhema University is a privately owned university that is located in Aba, Owerri, Abia State. Rhema University is a faith-based institution that is owned by Living Word Ministries International, which was founded by Bro. Emmanuel Okorie, who happened to be the founder of the university.

Rhema University was established in 2009 following the University Accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC) following decades of success by the founder of the institution in the establishment of primary and secondary schools across states in Nigeria and outside Nigeria in countries like Togo and Lomé.

Though established in 2009, academic activities commenced in 2010, marking the beginning of 2010/2011 academic activities, and in 2014 the university graduated its first set of students. In 2015 the university signed a deal with BUA.

Rhema University started with two (2) colleges at the beginning of its establishment in the high area, the Faculty of Basic Applied Science and Management and Social Science.

UTME Entry Requirements

• Have a minimum of 5 O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects.

• Obtain the required O’Level credits in WAEC, NECO, or an equivalent examination.

• Have English language and mathematics among the required subjects where applicable.

• Present relevant science, social science, arts, or commercial subjects according to the chosen course.

• O’Level results should generally be obtained in not more than two sittings, as specified by the program.

• Meet the required JAMB/UTME subject combination for the chosen program.

Direct Entry Requirements

Applicants seeking admission through direct entry must:

• Possess the minimum 5 O’Level credit passes required for the chosen program.

• Have relevant qualifications such as A-Level GCE, IJMB, NCE, ND, HND, or a first degree in a related field, depending on the program.

• For ND and HND qualifications, applicants are generally required to have the appropriate credit level in a relevant discipline.

• Direct entry admission is generally into the 200 level, subject to the university’s requirements for the chosen program.
