Federal Polytechnic Orogun is a federally owned polytechnic that is located in Orogun, Ughelli Local Government, Delta State. The institution is a newly established polytechnic that was created by the federal government in 2023 under the administration of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Federal Polytechnic Orogun’s establishment was somethingย that sprung up out of a bill that was raised up by the then deputy president of the senate,Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and the bill was passed into house and signed by the president in 2022 making the establishment of the University.
The establishment of the Polyethnic saw the recruitment of over 200 staff which comprises of both the academic and non- academic staff who immediately commenced work in the Institution showcasing the level of commitement that is put in the establishment of the Polytechnic.
When the Polyethnic is Newly created the Polytechnic is undergoing massive development in terms of building infrastructure and expanding the numbers of Courses that can be offered in the Institution,the Polytechnic has secured Accreditation status from National Board For Technical Education (NBTE).
The polytechnic envisioned being an institution that is grounded in cutting-edge literacy for vocational skills acquisition and character development.

Admission Requirements
ยฐ Candidates must score 100 and above in JAMB UTME.
ยฐ Applicants must possess a minimum of Five (5) OโLevel credit passes in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE, or equivalent.
ยฐ The five credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings and the required subjects must include English Language and Mathematics.
ยฐ Candidates must also have credit passes in other subjects relevant to their chosen course of study.
ยฐ Applicants who did not choose Federal Polytechnic Orogun as their first-choice institution are required to change their institution to Federal Polytechnic Orogun through the JAMB portal before admission can be considered.
ยฐ Admission is available into the NBTE-approved National Diploma (ND) Full-Time Programmes and Part-Time Programme
